Each year M&P Legal offers a prize to Lower Sixth students at the Isle of Man’s independent school King William’s College based on essay entries on given current legal topics. This is to encourage students in their final years at school who may be thinking about a career in law to tackle some thorny legal issues and produce an ordered assessment of how they see the situation.
The firm is very pleased to confirm that the standard of this year’s entry was high and that the winner is Lower Sixth student Anna Hall who wrote an essay dealing with the legal and moral issues raised by employee whistleblowing and how they interact with an employee’s duty of confidentiality. Anna wrote a logical and readable analysis using crisp and concise language, thus illustrating skills needed in the legal profession.
The M&P Legal law prize was formally handed to Anna Hall at the King William’s College Founders’ Day ceremony on 23 May 2015 by the Founders’ Day guest of honour former pupil of King William’s College Lt Col David Luck RA.
