Congratulations to sixth former Arthur Owenson for winning the 2024 M&P Legal Essay Prize. The annual competition invites Sixth Form students at King William’s College to write an essay on a topical issue. This year’s questions covered fast fashion, ChatGPT, education, and sentencing at criminal trials. The winning essay addressed the potential challenges of using ChatGPT in sensitive domains such as healthcare and legal advice. Our panel of judges were impressed with Arthur’s mature analysis and lucid argumentation. Arthur is due to begin studying law at University later this year.
