EMPLOYMENT LAW UPDATE 2018
19 June 2018
Settlement agreements, Uber worker status, whistleblowing and equality, not to mention Brexit, GDPR and TUPE – there’s a lot happening in and around the local labour law scene. We are pleased to invite you to a half-day conference dealing with these topical issues. We shall review the legislative developments of the Equality Act 2017 and GDPR and explain some recent Manx case law. We will look at the other buzz topics that frequent our desks, namely how to negotiate settlement agreements (including significant case law update), protected disclosures, the possible impact of Brexit and generally looking at Employment Tribunal claims. We are pleased that as well as the M&P Legal employment unit we have a guest speaker from Manx Industrial Relations Service and an address by the Island’s new Equality Adviser. The venue is the Cushag Suite, Palace Hotel, Douglas.
