M&P Legal has confirmed its commitment to Isle of Man cricket with the announcement of two sponsorship arrangements this summer.

The firm has renewed its sponsorship of the local club Loaghtyn Rams, a Douglas based club formed in 2006. M&P Legal has been its main sponsor since the club's inception. Club chairman Simon Beard commented that he was delighted to maintain the sponsorship agreement with a prestigious Manx law firm such as M&P Legal.

In addition, M&P Legal has given financial support to Isle of Man Cricket Association in respect of its forthcoming ICC European Division Two T20 tournament in Belgium (20-25 June 2011). The firm has agreed to sponsor a player taking part in that tournament to assist the IOMCA generally.

Joint managing director of M&P Legal John Aycock commented: "We are always keen to assist local cricket where we can and I am very pleased that we have managed to maintain our sponsorship of the Loaghtyn Rams including its junior teams, the Loaghtyn Lambs. This year we are also pleased for the first time to be able to arrange some sponsorship with IOMCA. This is an important year for the local cricket association and the Manx national cricket team as efforts are being made to obtain associate status of the ICC and all of the benefits that will bring to local cricket. We wish the Isle of Man team all the best."
