Commercial law firm M&P Legal has strengthened its legal team by recruitment of a highly experienced paralegal and by entering an advocate’s training contract with a barrister.
Niall Prentice has joined M&P Legal from DQ Advocates and now works as paralegal support for M&P Legal’s respected litigation team. Niall has substantial litigation practice dating back to 1992 when he was the clerk to the Isle of Man’s First Deemster. Niall then went into private practice and is very experienced in personal injury and construction law claims, together with making applications for grants of probates and letters of administration, general estate administration, wills and enduring powers of attorney.
Amelia Quinn is now a trainee advocate at M&P Legal having already worked there as a paralegal. She attended King William’s College then graduated from Exeter University with an honours law degree and completed training in England where she was called to the English Bar. She is a member of the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. Amelia has now commenced her two year training period with a view to taking the Isle of Man Law Society Bar exams and qualifying as a fully-fledged advocate.
Head of litigation at M&P Legal John Aycock commented: “Niall and Amelia bring a host of qualities, experience and further potential to M&P Legal’s litigation team and we are really pleased to have them on board.”
