M&P Legal are pleased to support talented local cyclist Ruby Oakes who turned 16 in August and has just finished her GCSEs in which she attained A in both English and Maths.

She has just started an online Level 3 BTEC in Sports Coaching and Cycling at South Gloucestershire and Stroud College. This will allow Ruby to continue her education whilst being off Island, racing and training in the UK and Europe.

She is the Isle of Man Ladies Criterium Champion, the TLI National Ladies Road Race Champion, and a 2-time School Games competitor.

Ruby rides for a national under 23 development team JRC Interflon, and in 2023 is targeting the BC National Junior Road Series, a number of races in Belgium and France, and representing the Isle of Man in the Island Games.

Ruby will spend the month of October in Majorca training and studying online before returning to the Island to focus on a structured coaching programme to prepare for the 2023 race season.
