Douglas law firm M&P Legal has won two further awards as Isle of Man Employment Law Firm of the year to follow up its success in 2010.

M&P Legal has again been chosen by Global Law Experts as the labour and employment law firm of the year for Isle of Man in 2011. This is the second year M&P Legal has won this award. In addition, the firm has been chosen as the best employment law practice in the Isle of Man by Corporate International Magazine, the first time M&P Legal has won this award.

In confirming M&P Legal winning the Global Law Experts award for the second year running, business development manager of Global Law Experts Nick Jones confirmed that shortlisted firms for the awards were judged on client testimonials, key cases from the past twelve months, legal rankings, overall reputation, publication contribution, speaking engagements and the performance and standing of the team's individual lawyers. He commented that the labour and employment law award for the Isle of Man had been particularly close and that it was due to the individual involvement of head of employment law at M&P Legal John Aycock that M&P Legal was awarded the title confirming that Mr Aycock received the most nominations of any lawyer in the Isle of Man in the field of labour employment law.

John Aycock, joint managing director of M&P Legal, commented that it was pleasing to receive recognition from the market place as to the firm's growing prowess in employment law. John has been involved in the practice of employment law for more than 20 years and is a regular contributor to seminars and articles on the topic. He has recently been requested to prepare the Isle of Man chapter for a prestigious international employment publication dealing with the employment protection aspects of business transfers.
