Dawson v Public Services Commission (19 January 2026): Preliminary hearing at Employment and Equality Tribunal on whether a public servant who was offered a post in another Government department had intended to resign or just transfer within the same employer. Involved analysis of the correspondence and intention of parties in the wider circumstances, particularly that Government employees are centrally employed through Public Services Commission and the law relating to mistake of fact. Successfully argued that employee did not unequivocally resign from his employment, his communication amounting only to a notice of internal transfer and not termination of his contract.
